This is the first book in the Dying for a Coffee series by Sara Bourgeois.
I thought this was okay. The plot wasn’t the best and it was easy to confuse the two main characters since their names are so similar.
I felt like the author was trying to make this a dual POV series but it just didn’t work out. The tension and suspense all but fizzled out the second it seemed to be building.
This storyline had a ton of promise and would be great. I think this just needs a lot of polishing and rewriting. Maybe an editor’s touch would help this just to give the author pointers on crafting their whodunit more expertly.
I couldn’t seem to find any common ground with the main characters so the whole thing just fell flat for me.
