I started reading this series on book 4 so I knew the death of Kevin had to come at some point. People keep commenting how all these murders happened after Cat Latimer returned to Aspen Hills, Colorado but I think the crazies have just been hiding in plain sight all these years.

This book was great, and like another reviewer mentioned, it just keeps getting better and better. I am loving how well-rounded the cast is and how we get more of a glance into the townspeople in each book as we move forward. I think there truly needs to be a story where Ms. Applebottom is put into the fray. I mean, that lady is a bit of a control freak. Crazy librarian kills obsessed patron sounds cool.

These characters are so well-crafted it isn’t funny. I get stress just reading about their circumstances. This is the book where the whole “who really killed Michael” storyline comes to a conclusion. I am happy with how it played out but I still think if he came back from the dead, I wouldn’t be surprised.

Compelling mystery that just keeps you guessing. Cahoon is a master at the cozy mystery genre. Thank you for such a great series. Definitely highly recommended to all readers.
