4.5 Stars

This is the eighth book in the Coltons of Roarimg Springs series by Addison Fox. I have a few other of the books in this series in my paperback/kindle collection and I hope to read them all. This is just a fascinating series to dig into.

I think I jumped into this series at the wrong time. But it was a good mistake since this makes me want to read every book in the series. Here is a breakdown of the books:

BOOK 1

BOOK 2

BOOK 3

BOOK 4

BOOK 5

BOOK 6

BOOK 7

BOOK 8

BOOK 9

BOOK 10

BOOK 11

BOOK 12

Trey Colton and his best friend, psychologist Aisha Allen have always known they were important in each other’s lives. Now that Colton is running for re-election as sheriff he fears that an unethical man running against him might win the office so he has asked his best friend for a favor. Can she masquerade as his make-believe fiancée in order to make him seem more like a family man? Eventually, she agrees but the few family members they reveal this to suggest it might blow up in their face. What if one of them develops feelings for the other?

As they search for the Avalanche Killer and maybe a copycat killer, they have to wade through all these new feelings they have for each other that they never acknowledged before now.

I thought the struggle part of this book was the best. As soon as they were thrust together, they were forced to face the truth of their unique connection with each other. Since this is a twelve book series the entire threat isn’t uncovered but we do get some resolution here to appease our need to see a killer come to justice and maybe even a happily ever after to boot.

I hope other books peek back into this relationship so we can see how Trey and Aisha end up.

Great book. A definite keeper and a great introduction to a series I think everyone will want to check out. If you love romantic suspense, this is the book and series for you!
