Synopsis:

Happily Ever After College has been churning out fairy godmothers for centuries.

But their outdated curriculum can’t keep up with the modern world.

They need something edgy. Something new, to keep true love alive.

They need Paris Beaufont.

However, this fairy loses her lunch if she watches a romantic comedy. Love songs give her hives. She punched the last guy who tried to flirt with her.

Needless to say, Paris Beaufont isn’t the romantic type.

But she’s going to have to learn how to create budding love for others or she’s going to jail.

When a series of criminal offenses forces Paris to attend fairy godmother college, she has to learn not to just stomach romance, but to master it.

What this fairy godmother in-training learns isn’t just about love. And what she does for the college might change the planet forever— It is love that makes the world go round, after all.

4.5 stars

This is the first book in the Inscrutable Paris Beaufont series by Sarah Noffke and Michael Anderle.

I was intrigued by this title. And the book didn’t let me down. I got sucked in by the older original-ish fairy godmother who couldn’t make a love connection to two people. This match wasn’t followed up on it the book which was disappointing.

The story centers around Paris who is a fairy who tries to help people but half the time ends up getting in trouble while doing these good deeds for others. As punishment, she is sent to fairy godmother school. This academy is a bit antiquated and hasn’t kept up with the times. All the classes don’t really seem relevant for the modern matchmaker and Paris is just confused why she needs to learn all these odd things. Her influence is key to helping the academy grow and adjust just as she herself grows and adjusts.

Loving this story so far and looking forward to continuing with the series.

Definitely pick this up if you are a paranormal magical fantasy lover.
