Immortal Angel
by Lynsay Sands
Hardcover, 327 pages
Expected publication: October 6th 2020 by Crooked Lane Books
Goodreads synopsis:
For almost a century, Ildaria Garcia has been on the run, a trouble magnet with a knack for taking down bad guys. Lately, her vigilante tendencies have drawn unwelcome attention to her fellow Immortals. Forced to relocate, Ildaria is supposed to lay low in a new town. Instead, she quickly entangles herself with six and a half feet of muscular, tattooed trouble.
Joshua James Simpson Guiscard, aka G.G., knows a lot about Immortals—enough to make him wary. Yet from the moment Ildaria walks into his club, he feels desire stronger than anything he’s known. Accepting the fact that they might be life mates is disconcerting. But when her past catches up to them, G.G. faces a choice—confront his demons at last, or lose a passion that’s hot as hell.

4.5 stars This is the thirty-first book in the Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands. I am not certain if I have ever read a Lynsay Sands book but I was aware of this popular author and wanted to give this book a try. I have to say, I was not disappointed. Even though this is only 327 pages, it felt a lot longer. I could tell Sands really packed in all the details she could into this complex and fascinating read. I guess this is more of a romance than anything else. Ildaria aka Angel is an Immortal turned into an Immortal by accident when she was fourteen. She has been on the run from this handsome landowner who turned her for 200 years. She is on the road to getting a degree in accounting but keeps having to drop her classes in order to keep herself safe. She ends up getting a job with G.G. (stands for Green Giant, real name is Joshua Simpson). Turns out that GG is her life mate. Immortals can read minds but she can’t read his since he is her life mate. But there is a problem, GG doesn’t want to be an immortal…. not ever. This was a great read. It keeps your interest all the way through and I was really digging this whole Immortal world concept where the immortal is kept that way through nanites in their blood. I am blown away that this author was able to already have thirty one books in this series. THIRTY-ONE! Wow! What an accomplishment. Definitely going to try and read more of these. They are rather addicting. |
If you love a good paranormal romantic suspense mystery, definitely check this one out. You won’t be disappointed.
I received this as an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) in return for an honest review. I thank NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this title.
