When the goal is seduction
Not just any play will do...
Irresistible. That's sports tycoon Jordan Serenghetti in a nutshell. But Jordan's physical therapist, Sera Perini, must resist. She has good reasons—their families' connections, her professional ethics and a kiss the filthy-rich athlete doesn't even remember. If she gives in to temptation, will it be a replay of Jordan's womanizing ways or something from a brand-new playbook?

This is the third book in the Serenghetti Brothers series by Anna DePalo as part of the Desire line over at Harlequin Books.
Here are definitely two people at odds with each other. Serafina (Sera) has a bit of a chip on her shoulder where hockey all-star Jordan Serenghetti is concerned. He made out with her years earlier and then forgot her and she has never recovered from that slight. So, when Jordan comes to her employer, Astra Therapeutics looking for some physical therapy for his recent injury, he gets assigned to Sera much to her dismay. She is not like other women. She won’t let herself fall at the hockey star’s feet. But the chemistry between them has something of its own to say and may make all of Sera’s protests mute.
I loved the struggling dynamic between these two. This wasn’t an easy courtship where the chemistry was immediate and then they kept having sex over and over. This was like a slow burn. You know they are compatible. You see it in their first kiss. But since Sera has this hang up where Jordan is concerned, it takes the couple a long time to finally realize they are meant for each other.
I really enjoyed the scenes where Jordan convinced his mother who had a popular foodie tv show to let Sera judge how he and a couple of his hockey cohorts could cook. They all surprisingly had what sounded like complicated dishes. I can just see it now. A Serenghetti Cookbook featuring recipes from Jordan’s mother, Jordan and Sera. I wouldn’t even have been opposed to a recipe at the end of the book to go along with the storyline.
Great love story, slow to bring to fruition but totally worth the struggle. Loved it! Definitely reading along in the series to catch up. #SerenghettiBrothers
