I haven’t really read a lot of classics only because they don’t really interest me. I had been considering reading Heidi for awhile but I have a history with girl’s named Heidi that sort of put me off of this book.
I thought the book was decent. There should be a followup about all of the Heidi-isms there are in this novel. She has a lot to say about life in here that is timeless and that alone is what kept me reading.
I don’t really feel like this is a kid’s book even though it is about kids. Kind of long and winding for my taste. Lots of repeating similar action and situations that I felt could have been cut out. Lovely sentimental book that the older generation would appreciate. Not really a book for today’s youth.
I bought this book with my own money.
