I am not a person who regularly reads historical fiction, but I love the Sherlock Holmes genre so this book had me intrigued.

If you are into Sherlock Holmes, read this.

If you are into historical books, read this.

If you are into great books, definitely read this.

This book was just amazing. It takes the Sherlock mythology and turns it on its edge. The only niggle I had in the read was the in the beginning I couldn’t figure out who the main character was supposed to be. And once I got past that little hiccup, it was smooth sailing.

The premise of the book is that an unconventional girl at the turn of the century just does not really fit into this prim and proper society. She wants to go her own way. Live her own life, the way she wants to live it. So she concocts a scheme to do it. She gets away from her family and begins an amazing adventure.

I hope there are more books in the future for this series. It was that good. Definitely one of those books you want to keep around. 5 stars. AMAZING!
